At Kenneth Tirone, DDS, we offer dental implants as a natural looking and functional option to replace one or more missing teeth.

Dental Implants:
A Better Solution to Missing Teeth

Missing teeth can be detrimental to your long-term oral and overall health. Missing teeth can contribute to a variety of problems, including TMJ/TMD disorder, an increased risk of gum disease and decay, jawbone deterioration, and diminished self esteem. Replacing missing teeth can not only contribute to your overall health, but dramatically improve your smile and the shape of your face.

Dental implants are indistinguishable from your natural teeth. A titanium screw is used to provide the same function as your natural tooth root. Once the screw is placed in your gums, the implant anchors a bridge, denture or even a single crown in your mouth. Implants are long-lasting and they won’t slip or move around or cause injury or irritation to sensitive gum tissue.

Dental Implants:
In Conjunction with Dentures or Partials

Many people who wear a conventional upper or lower denture or partials are unhappy with their teeth. They complain that their denture or partial doesn’t fit or feel right, causes irritation, sores or pain, or restricts their ability to eat certain foods. Every few years or so, a new set of dentures or partials have to be made to fit the changing gum and jawbone structure because of shrinking gum tissue and bone deterioration.

Dental implants are an excellent option that can work in conjunction with your dentures or partials. Implant-supported dentures or partials are supported by and attached to dental implants. Using special attachments, the dental implants essentially locks the denture or partial in place. This prevents the denture or partial from moving or shifting, giving a stable, confident alternative to conventional dentures or partials.
